The International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT) is one of the most prestigious international physics competitions for high school students. However, it is unique in that it is not just about physics, as the IYPT is an extremely exciting team competition where competitors engage in intense battles in English. Besides a deep understanding of these problems (i.e., physics), quick thinking and situational awareness, persuasive argumentation skills, proficiency in English, and team spirit are also extremely important. Perhaps due to this complexity, participating in this competition is highly exciting and educational, providing a lifelong experience. Moreover, in the last 3 years, we have always returned with a medal, and in the latest occurrence in 2017, the Hungarian team won a gold medal.
